Forgiveness

We are told in the Bible that as Christians we are to forgive as we want to be forgiven.  All of us have things in our lives that need to be forgiven on a daily basis.  Some of us find it easy to forgive others.  We have learned that a grudge is too heavy a weight to carry around. We have also figured out that the person we held a grudge against really didn’t care anyway.  The real problem comes for too many of us is forgiving ourselves.
We have asked God to forgive a particular sin in our lives and then satan comes in and tells us that we can’t be forgiven for that one.  We then begin to doubt if we were forgiven and go back to God and confess that sin again.  Satan has done what he wanted to as he placed doubt into our hearts.
Satan is a liar and the father of lies.  The Bible says that when you confess your sins God is faithful and true to forgive ALL of your sins.  Your slate is wiped clean.  God then goes one step farther and forgets the sin ever happened.  God promised “Their sins I will remember no more.”  “He removes our sin from us as far as east is from west.”
Anytime that we think that we haven’t been forgiven for a sin that we have confessed then we are calling God a liar and believe satan’s lies.  When you are in doubt turn to the Bible and read God’s words.  His word is always true.

You should know better than to wake a man when he's sleeping. 'S bad luck.

Ah, fortunately I know how to counter it. The man who did the waking buys, the man who was sleeping, a drink. The man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition

I sure am. That is one of the wonderful things about God. There are just too many wonderful things about Him to name them all.

O gosh I needed this tonight, I have been having a weekend of not knowing what to do and for
whom to put first with friends and getting into such an upset state of mind. I guess we strive
to make so many happy and forget to make our own hearts and minds contented, as if that
in itself is selfish. Like a sin, whereas we can do so much more with our hearts full in this
manner. We fuel our bodies with food for energy but need an enriched diet of truth and self
contentment to say no when we just cannot do everything! I even find myself reliving past
doubts I have when I am feeling low. It is as you say to remember the strength from God
and not let in the putdowns placed upon you by Satan, when weak!! Thanks for this Honey x
